Activities throughout Moray
Moray Wellbeing Hub have been awarded funding to deliver their Wellbeing Connected Moray project.
The funding will allow Moray Wellbeing hub to develop a new locality model designed to improve the lives of people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage in Moray. The underpinning principles of Wellbeing Connected Moray the project are to build sustainability for individuals and communities, using a bottom-up approaches to health and wellbeing through building connection, hope, identity, meaning and empowerment in people’s lives.
The project will focus upon rural service delivery (not Elgin focused): reducing travel and encouraging use of community buildings and local people. Project activities will take place in four Moray locality areas as a focus for local collaboration and partnership: Cullen & Buckie, Elgin & Lossiemouth, Forres & Kinloss, Speyside.
The funding will allow Moray Wellbeing Hub to support the deliver of activities including outreach, creative events, training, and peer-support sessions. These activities will not only support people experiencing vulnerability and disadvantage, but will also connect other agencies and will be available to a range of age groups, including young people.
